FOUNDATION OF ALANYA UNIVERSITY
The Hamdullah Emin Paşa and Haremi Hatice Tahire Hanım Foundation (established in 1932), which founded the Hamdullah Emin Paşa Private College in 1978, began its efforts to establish Alanya's first university as an educational foundation in 2007. Following a stakeholder meeting held on March 14, 2008, it was decided to prepare a feasibility report to establish a foundation university in Alanya.
Official Application and Establishment Process
Our Founding Foundation made its first official application to the Higher Education Council (YÖK) on December 23, 2008, with the number 148/335, submitting the feasibility report prepared on August 26, 2009, along with the other required commitments and documents.
The University Board of Trustees, as required by law for Alanya University, was established by the Founding Foundation in 2009, and the total number of members was set at 15 with the addition of new members in 2010. At the meeting of the Founding Board of Trustees on December 4, 2010, developments in the physical, administrative, financial, and organizational structure of the University were discussed, and the Board of Trustees formed working groups within itself to address these issues.
The draft of Alanya University's Main Regulation was discussed and approved by the Founding Board of Trustees, ratified by the Higher Education Council (YÖK), and published in the Official Gazette on July 18, 2011, thereby entering into force.Alanya Hamdullah Emin Paşa University name; With the decision published in the Official Gazette dated 09.02.2023 and numbered 32099, its name has been changed to “ALANYA UNIVERSITY”.
